Mt Lushan, situated in the northern of Jiangxi Province, is a popular resort area in China. Standing inside the Mt Lushan, you cannot see the true face of it. That is the beauty of it. It changes its appearance in seasons. In spring, it is covered with colorful vegetation. While in winter, it is covered with white snow everywhere, which seems stately and solemn.
Mt Lushan is famous for its mighty peaks, roaring waterfalls, mysterious clouds and mists, cragged cliffs, etc. However, it is particularly well-known as one of the most famous summer resorts in the world.
In Mt Lushan, most of the peaks are from 1200 to 1400 meters above sea level. Among them, Hanyang Peak, the highest peak, stands an impressive 1,474 meters above sea level and is shrouded in clouds almost throughout the year.
You will never find a more confortable place than Mt Lushan to espace the summer heat as the average temperature here is 22.6 Celsius thermometers in summer. And the clouds and mists around the peaks also create an atmosphere of mystery. Just close your eyes, forget the outside world and relax your mind, body and soul here.
More than a shelter from the unbearable summer heat, it is also a ideal place to appreciate natural wonders and cultural feasts. There are twelve main scenic areas together with thirty seven attractions. Not enough? Ok, also more than nine hundred cliff inscriptions and over three hundred steles. Major spots include Lulin Lake, Flower Path, Ruqin Lake, Wulao Feng, Sandie Spring, Jinxiu Valley, Xianren Dong and Donglin Temple, etc.

Autumn Ejin Banner, Paradise or Hell?

It is so hard to describe the shock it gives to me. It is the paradise that exists only in dreams; it is also the hell that witnesses the greatest torture exerted on life.
Here is the home for 30,000 hectares diversifolious poplar forest, which is one of the three existing diversifolious poplar forest in the world. In each autumn, it becomes a golden fairy land and shows off her beauty. About ten days’ beauty, it has prepared for a whole year.

The locals believe that the poplar is a symbol of vitality – they say that it lives for one thousand years, remains standing for one thousand years after its death, and does not decay for a further thousand years after falling down.
However, it is the real hell for the poplars. There is no worse thing to display the dead body in such a place for two thousand years. The hope for a new life has to wait for two thousand years. Perhaps that is the reason why they look so miserable.

The famous Black City is located at southeast of Ejin Banner, the east side of Ochina River. It was built in the Daqing year (A.D. 1036), Western Xia dynasty. Today, only relics left here. All the glories and miseries have gone. Lucky one, isn’t it?
