Air
There are two civilian international airports in Shanghai. Pudong International Airport is 30 km from downtown and 40 km from the Hongqiao International Airport, which is only 13 km from downtown.
Go to Pudong International Airport:
1. Get to the Longyang Road first and then take a taxi to the airport which costs you about 80 Yuan.
2. Magnetic Suspension Train
Ordinary: 50 Yuan for one-way ticket, 80 Yuan for return ticket
VIP: 100 Yuan for one-way ticket, 160 Yuan for return ticket

Train
It is an inexpensive and comfortable way to get to the city by train. There are shanghai station (locally called the new station), the west station in shanghai (the former Zhen Ru station) and shanghai south station(the former new Long Hua station) among which shanghai station to be the main station with 70 couples of trains coming from and going to the big and middle cities in China.
Coach
Now there are over 1,000 routes served by 40 long-distance bus stations in Shanghai. The main highways in shanghai are:
1. The three national roads line 312(from shanghai to Yi Ning, Xin Jiang), line 318(from shanghai to ZhangMu, Tibet) and line 320 (from shanghai to RuiLi, Yunnan) lead to the western part of China.
2. The national road 204(Tongjiang, Hei Longjiang—San Ya, Hai Nan) which passing shanghai goes through most of the beautiful cities along the coastline of eastern China.
3. The Hu ning (A11 Road), Hu Hang (A8 Road), Hu jialiu (a12 Road), Hu qingping (A9 Road) connected the main cities around shanghai.

2. Taxi
Compare with other cities, taxis are relatively expensive. In the daytime, the price is CNY12 for the first three kilometers (1.9 miles), an additional charge of CNY2.4 for every succeeding kilometer within 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) and CNY3.6for every succeeding kilometer after 10 kilometers. At night from 23:00 to 5:00 the next morning, the taxi fare is CNY16 for the first three kilometers, an additional charge of CNY3.1 for every succeeding kilometer within 10 kilometers and CNY4.1 for every succeeding kilometer after 10 kilometers. You can bargain over prices when taking taxis at night.

3. Metro
Shanghai Metro is the best way to explore the city as it is quite comfortable and convenient.
